10 Most Memorable WWE Underdog Victories

7. The Hurricane Defeats The Rock - Raw 2003

Even though he was largely used as a comedy character, The Hurricane was more than capable in the ring, and was always beloved by WWE fans. When he began having segments with The Rock in 2003, people knew they were going to get some humorous moments, but come on... we're talking about The Rock here. One of wrestling's all-time greats. A surefire WWE Hall Of Famer (at the time). That's when Steve Austin decided to show up and cause a distraction, giving Hurricane a chance to roll Rock up for the win. That is certainly becoming a theme on this list, but it happens. A pinfall victory is a pinfall victory, no matter what led to the pin, though. It's something you can't take away from The Hurricane, and it's something that you have to give The Rock props for going along with and never complaining about. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xpd4nj_wwe-universal-fr-the-rock-vs-the-hurricane-raw_sport The win never really went anywhere, though. There was no rematch, and it wasn't too much longer until Hurricane was having matches with people like Rodney Mack, Chief Morley, and Christopher Nowinski. You'd think a victory over The Rock would lead to something more than that, but no, not even an Intercontinental Title shot, let alone being moved to the main event.
