14 Reasons 2015 Was The Worst Ever Year For WWE Creative

2. No One Left To Turn To

The WWE is currently suffering through a ratings crisis that hasn't been felt in nearly 20 years. The WWE has faced the reality of declining viewership before and Vince doesn't seem to sweat it. What makes 2015 different than in years past is that now Vince truly has no where to turn. Previously, he might have made a call to Shawn Michaels or Ric Flair to make an appearance, but that well's run dry and, with all due respect to those two legends, they no longer have the impact they once did as performers. Steve Austin and The Rock were two of the biggest superstars in history and can still pop a number, but there's no confidence in WWE Creative to effectively use these stars judging by Austin's latest RAW appearance in which he was a glorified ring announcer. Finally, The Undertaker was the one man Vince would turn to whenever he needed help, but despite the character he portrays, the man behind The Undertaker actually is human. Time has caught up with the Deadman and while he can still put on a decent-to-good match given the proper protection, he's well past his prime. Even his appearances don't have the impact they used to since the creative team's ideas for The Undertaker don't ever seem to extend beyond a pairing with Kane. So Vince has no one left he can turn to and seems to have run out of tricks.
