WWE didn't want that, they wanted CM Punk on the WWE's european tour. The day after Punk had talked with Triple H about 12 Rounds, a phonecall came through - the acting gig had gone to Randy Orton instead. It was another example of Punk not getting opportunities, he wasn't picked despite being a bigger merchandise seller than Orton. He badly needed the time off to heal, but WWE didn't care.
