Going into Wrestle Kingdom 11, many New Japan fans were thrilled to see that the Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match was a two team affair as opposed to a four team mess. The Young Bucks defended their titles against Roppongi Vice, winners of the annual Super Junior Tag tournament in 2016. Given time to tell a story, the four men put on a great match that really should have opened the show.

After Beretta took a quite frankly insane bump to the outside, the match was about The Young Bucks hitting all of their greatest hits but still being unable to put Rocky Romero away. The Brothers Jackson got somewhat over-confident, and despite hitting a total of 11 superkicks they couldn't get the win. The champs set up More Bang For Your Buck, but Beretta was able to distract Nick just long enough for Rocky to roll up Matt. New champs!

Beretta and Rocky Romero must be two of the most underrated junior heavyweights on the planet. They are rarely in the conversation when it comes to the top cruiserweight performers in the world, but they are as dependable and consistent as they come. Given time to tell a story the duo thrived here, and here's hoping their reign lasts longer than The New Beginning shows

Also, The Young Bucks have the greatest tights in wrestling.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
