Kyle O'Reilly won the ROH World Championship less than a month ago, so Adam Cole defeating him for the title at Wrestle Kingdom 11 could be conceived as something of a shock. Cole becomes the first three-time ROH World Champion in the process, and surely now he will go on to have the reign that defines his indy career before inevitably heading to NXT.

Does O'Reilly's loss mean that he has decided against re-signing with Ring of Honor? Going into the show there were a whole lot of question marks surrounding The Martial Artist's contract status with the company, and it would seem as though those questions have been answered. By taking the title off of O'Reilly, ROH has paved the way for the reDRagon member to leave for pastures new.

This could all be conjecture of course, and after giving KOR his big moment at Final Battle the company has decided to revert back to type Still, it is easy to read into these things, so could we be seeing Kyle O'Reilly (or should that be Ryan O'Keilly?) in NXT sometime soon?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
