A previously unannounced bout for the pre-show saw Rosemary and Havok facing Susan and the returning Kimber Lee. Obviously this was an extremely odd contest, but it hit a certain narrative beat that helped it a lot.
Rosemary and Havok worked great as a tandem, knocking down Kimber at one point with what was essentially a double Rainmaker; neat. Havok’s roundhouse kicks and Rosemary’s Spear were other highlights, but the biggest takeaway goes to Susan. Or, well, Su Yung.
A knock to the head saw Susan revert to her ‘Undead Bride’ persona for a brief period, applying her Mandible Claw for a few seconds. Having her immediately back in her Susan character mere moments later was great. Your writer was desperate for a full-time Su Yung return; that’s not needed right now as it appears.
Havok’s Tombstone Piledriver spelt the end for Susan and ‘The Crown Jewel’. Some good stuff in this that perhaps teased a new, full-time team in Havok and Rosemary. The knockouts tag division could do with a new addition. Nice to see Kimber back, also.
