14 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Dec 4)

Ups...

14. "Kids"

Joey Janela Jon Moxley
AEW

Alex Marvez caught up with Joey Janela ahead of his match with Jon Moxley, asking why he'd accepted Mox's challenge. A solid little promo followed. 'The Bad Boy' claimed he was out to make a name for himself. He was one of the first wrestlers to sign for AEW but felt like he was put on the backburner, and when he asked if Jon remembered Fyter Fest, he promised this time would be different. "This time it actually counts. The lights are on, but nobody's home, and this time, you'll actually have to kill me."

Moxley strolled in, because of course he did, and, in an understated comic moment, shrugged Janela off with a simple, disapproving "kids" after a pregnant pause between the two. The guy doesn't need potted plants to be funny.

Nothing major here, but good stuff nonetheless. It was nice to see Janela getting some promo time as well.
