14 Wrestlers Who Should Probably Regret Leaving WWE

12. Lex Luger

In 1995, Lex Luger committed career treason when he left WWE for WCW without giving Vince McMahon any notice whatsoever. He had a handshake agreement to stay with WWE. While he gained financial success returning to WCW and achieved a huge career moment by defeated Hollywood Hulk Hogan for the WCW Championship on Nitro, he left WWE just a few short years before they blew up as a mainstream powerhouse. As WCW started to go on a downward spiral, Lex was one of the guys at the top of the ladder. He suffered a few out of place, illogical heel turns and floundered as a talent through the creative changes to the company. When WWE acquired WCW in 2001, he was blackballed and basically called out by Vince McMahon live on the air that we would never see him again on WWE television. After suffering a spinal stroke in 2007, Lex Luger was bound to a wheelchair without the use of his arms or legs. As time went on, the movement came back and he now works for WWE as a consultant on their wellness policy. You can see how the downward trend on the career of Lex Luger took place after he left WWE.
