14 WWE Stars Who Wanted To Fight In UFC

7. Sean O'Haire

Sean O'Haire was a WCW wrestler who never fully managed to transition to the WWE. He was actually promoted quite hard in 2003 vignettes about a new dark character, but upon his debut, it never went anywhere. He was released in 2004. He then found himself competing in kick boxing, which he followed up with competing in lower level MMA. The goal was to leave his wrestling days behind and get on the booming MMA bandwagon. Dreams of the UFC were starting to form, but his most high profile match at PRIDE 32 was a quick and easy loss to Eric 'Butterbean' Esch. Sadly, Sean O'Haire died in September 2014, following a battle with depression and alcohol addiction. He'd been to WWE sponsored rehab on several occasions.
