14 WWE WrestleMania 34 Impulse Reactions

11. Sunday Night Rollins

Roman Reigns
WWE

Seth Rollins was permitted approximately a week's worth of self-commendation for his marathon stint in WWE's longest ever match on Monday Night Raw earlier this year.

That his achievement disappeared so quickly from public imagination was presumably a source of some frustration for 'The Architect', but he set about rebuilding a more stable legacy at the 'Show Of Shows' with an Intercontinental Title victory that made him the latest member of WWE's Grand Slam club since Roman Reigns earned the same honour with the same strap last December.

Dressed as a grappling 'Knight King' from Game Of Thrones for his overblown WrestleMania aesthetic this year, Rollins proved as indestructible as the devastating force from the HBO show by throwing himself in to combat with none of the trepidation that's existed in his act since 2016 return from injury.

A strong opener that'll likely age even better considering the limp storyline heading into the event, his defeat over Miz and Finn Bálor was a good advert for why the three men have been so vital keeping Raw's midcard alive between separate dalliances with the show's top title. Both Bálor and Miz both had trunks worthy of triumph too - a WrestleMania must - adding more than a splash of colour to a potentially dour sartorial showdown.
