7. The 2019 Banned List

An old favourite of leaked scripts from several generations of ex-staffers, it was great to take a look at the 2019 version of the banned words/phrases list. If only to use it to try and tap into Vince McMahon's warped psyche before he resigned in disgrace in 2022.

Particular favourites on this one include "stupid" and "idiot" (thus banning a t-shirt-selling Chris Jericho catchphrase wholesale!), "National Television" (as if this is almost too small a way of describing WWE's distribution) and "Revenge", which explains why the decrepit stupid idiot was so averse to booking actual stories on his national television show.
