15 Best Ever Storyteller Wrestlers

10. 'Macho Man' Randy Savage

Randy Savage was one of the first big-time characters in WWE. He kept people watching, with his resoundingly deep voice and his endless charisma. His promos are still recited to this day by both wrestling fans and non-wrestling fans, and some of the best early-WrestleMania moments include his name right there with the likes of Hogan, Warrior and Flair. Not to mention his extraordinary bout with Ricky Steamboat at the third instalment of the event. The match is considered one of, if not the best match of all time. The two had a bitter rivalry after Savage injured Steamboat€™s larynx in a championship match about six months prior, and so this would be the culmination of that rivalry. Savage lived up to his role as the heel perfectly and even attempted to use the ring bell to take Steamboat out, before George Steele prevented it from happening and €˜The Dragon€™ got the victory as well as vengeance. The match would also go down in history as the first time the Intercontinental Championship changed hands on the grandest stage of them all.
