Ric Flair is rightly considered one of the greatest wrestlers of all time: he had character, he could really go and he had an unmistakable gravitas about him. A certain flair, if you will. The Nature Boy was a great storyteller and there are countless examples of his talent in doing so. Take the 1990 NWA Great American Bash for instance. The Horsemen accepted Sting as a member for saving Flair from Terry Funk, but when he signed on for a championship match against Ric, he was extricated rather unceremoniously. Once Sting returned from an injury, the two squared off at this event in Baltimore. Flair really put Sting over on this occasion, and in a great way: the action was back and forth, and Flairs heel work would get the fans to rally behind Sting. He made the man now known as The Vigilante look fantastic when Sting rolled Flair up for the victory, and it not only made for a great passing of the torch, but it did wonders for Flair as well despite already being a huge star.
