This match features arguably the most memorable moment in Smackdowns entire 15-year history. While the show provided fans with a number of historic events, the Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show main event may prove to be the most memorable. The match itself was a worthy main event encounter, if slightly unspectacular. Lesnar was the reigning and defending WWE Champion at the time, and had transitioned into becoming a babyface. The Big Show -- who was being backed by the ever-evil Paul Heyman -- was on a quest to become the WWE Champion. The behemoth competitor dwarfed the equally-impressive Lesnar and dominated the champ for much of the match. The end of the contest saw the Big Show attempt to drag Lesnar to the top rope -- perhaps for a massive Chokeslam. Unfortunately for Show, Lesnar crotched the giant on the top turnbuckle. Then, the unthinkable happened. Brock climbed the ropes and hooked the Big Show. Both men came crashing to the mat following a massive superplex. As they hit, the 20 ring quickly imploded. The ringposts fell in, the ropes broke, and the ring collapsed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JNaG2M5YqQ The match was essentially ruled a no contest, but the fans in attendance and watching at home didnt care. Smackdowns ring collapsing became possibly the most famous incident in the shows history. As Tazz so aptly described the moment while on commentary -- Holy Sh*t!
