10. John €œBradshaw€ Layfield vs. Eddie Guerrero - Cage Match July 15, 2004

Eddie Guerrero had achieved his dream of becoming WWE Champion at the No Way Out PPV in 2004. Latino Heat defeated the once-dominant Brock Lesnar to become champion and then successfully defended his title against Kurt Angle at that year€™s WrestleMania. Following Mania XX, Eddie began a rivalry with Bradshaw. Now dubbed John €œBradshaw€ Layfield, or JBL, the former APA-member became a clean-cut conservative. JBL took offense to Guerrero being WWE Champion and set off to dethrone Latino Heat. By July of 2002, the two superstars had been embroiled in an intense feud. They would do battle one last time inside a steel cage on July 15th. This time, however, JBL was the defending champ and Eddie found himself the challenger. In typical Guerrero fashion, Eddie had lied and cheated his way into the contest. He posed as El Gran Luchadore to become the number one contender. Following a grueling, hard-fought contest, Guerrero seemed to have things in hand. He ascended to the top of the cage and came crashing down on top of JBL with his signature Frog Splash. However, to Eddie€™s surprise, JBL was able to kick out of the pinfall. Both men then raced to the top of the cage in an attempt to escape and win the match. Just then the supposed El Gran Luchadore appeared and held Guerrero€™s leg while JBL dropped to the floor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPrCd9ImD4g Bradshaw retained his coveted WWE Championship thanks to the mysterious Luchadore. However, the masked man was now trapped inside the cage with Guerrero. As he attempted to flee, Eddie was able to remove his mask revealing Kurt Angle. Eddie and Angle then re-ignited their long-running and thrilling rivalry.
