One of the brighter spots of late period WCW was Stacy Keibler, a legitimately beautiful and charming young lady whom the company found during an on-air Nitro Girls Search. When Vince Russo arrived, he believed that the former cheerleaders would be better served as trashy on-air characters, and so Keibler became Miss Handcock, a sexy Standards and Practices secretary, which was indeed a thing. Soon after this, she would become involved in a pregnancy angle with David Flair, although before the true father of her baby could be revealed she would miscarry following a mud pit match. Many fans believe that Vince Russo, the writer of this inanity, had planned to reveal himself as the lover of his companys hottest female star, before thinking better of it and calling the whole thing off. In reality, Vince Russo has never thought better of anything. Although he did briefly toy with making himself the father, his true endgame was even ickier: the ultimate paternity results would reveal that Ric Flair was not only the father of Stacys baby, but also Stacy herself. The actual TNT Standards and Practices people stepped in at this point and insisted that the angle be, er, terminated.
