Anyone following WCW television in the summer of 2000 will recall THE MYSTERIOUS WHITE HUMMER that nearly killed Kevin Nash. Hours and hours of television were devoted to segments where characters accused each other of being the driver, with Sting, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff figuring as suspects. As the angle dragged on and on, some fans began to suspect that WCW was trying to buy time until they could decide on a culprit that wouldn't be a letdown after all the buildup. In reality, the reason the reveal took so long wasn't that WCW couldn't find a suitable driver. Recent WWF émigré Sable was considered a lock for the role, but WCW lawyers proved no match for the non-compete clause in her contract. To WCW's credit, they had a plan 'b', albeit a terrible one, in Carmen Electra, but that fell through as well. If you're wondering, the driver was eventually revealed to be Eric Bischoff on a throwaway Nitro six months after the storyline was abandoned, and nothing ever came of it.
