15 Craziest WWE House Show Incidents
7. The Curtain Call
The 'MSG Incident' or 'Curtain Call' is probably the most famous house show incident in WWE history. At a May 19th 1996 house show in Madison Square Garden, Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Triple H embraces in a prolonged group hug following the Michaels/Nash main event.
This was a huge deal at the time because Triple H and Kevin Nash were heels while Scott Hall and Shawn Michaels were faces. Kayfabe was still clinging on for dear life in 1996 and, although insiders knew about the 'Kliq', it was still lost on the general population.
The boys backstage were up in arms about it, too. Even though Vince had okayed the incident (as a sendoff for the soon departing Nash and Hall), he was miffed with how far the group took it. He was even more annoyed that fans had brought camcorders to the event and documented the whole thing.
Triple H, who was not yet involved with the boss' daughter, was punished for months following the incident while Nash, Hall and Michaels escaped punishment.
