15 Craziest WWE House Show Incidents
6. JBL Goose Steps In Germany - Is Fired By CNBC
Continuing to display his famed ignorance of foreign countries, JBL did the unthinkable during a house show in Munich, German on June 5th 2004. In an attempt to draw heat during an Eddie Guerrero and The Undertaker versus JBL and Booker T match, Bradshaw performed several Nazi salutes and began goose stepping around the ring.
It was an ignorant move on the recently-turned headliner's behalf. There's getting heel heat, and then there's stupidity. One irate fan even tried to hop the barrier and attack JBL for his actions. He must have thought he was doing a great job as a bad guy. Unfortunately for JBL, when word of his little performance got back to the United States, television station CNBC (which had just hired JBL as a gimmick financial analyst) were less than impressed.
They fired him and released a statement stating that 'We find his behavior to be offensive, inappropriate and not befitting anyone associated with our network'. JBL went on the defensive and claimed the network hung him out to dry but, really, he was in the wrong and he had to know it.
