15 Edge And Christian WWE Moments That Totally Reeked Of Awesomeness
12. Turning Heel
The Hardys and Edge and Christian would cross paths many more times over the next few months, both as teammates (such as at Survivor Series) and also as opponents (No Way Out 2000). They were battling for tag team supremacy when another team, The Dudley Boys, were added to the mix. Suddenly, it was The Hardys versus The Dudleys that took centre stage. In real-life, Edge and Christian felt a little bit like they were being overlooked, and used it as the catalyst for a heel turn. Although their rivalry had been mainly sporting at that point, the two Canadians began expressing their frustrations in a series of sit-down worked shoot interviews. They branded The Hardys selfish, said that they felt as though they weren't getting the same opportunities and that the Dudleys were trying to come in and steal their rightful spotlight. After all, they were the ones who were having their spines jarred in the No Mercy ladder match, not the Dudleys. It sewed the seeds for the eventual full-blown Edge and Christian heel turn and also set the stage for the first ever triangle ladder match at WrestleMania 2000.
