15 Edge And Christian WWE Moments That Totally Reeked Of Awesomeness

9. The Chicken Suit

While Edge and Christian were quickly establishing themselves as one of, if not the premier tag team, a certain Olympic gold medalist was rapidly climbing up the ladder and was due to knock on the main event door at any minute. Kurt Angle was adapting to professional wrestling as quickly as anyone else in the business' history. Angle's amateur exploits are, of course, well-known, but besides being a certified badass between-the-ropes, he was also a dab hand when it came to backstage segments, promos and comedy. Edge, Christian and Kurt Angle formed the short-lived ECK faction in 2000 and would often team up for six-man tag matches (notably against Too Cool and Rikishi). One of the best ECK moments was when Christian, determined to shed some poundage so that he could wrestle for the Light-Heavyweight Championship, went to Commissioner Foley for advice. Foley offered him a chicken suit, claiming that the best way to lose water weight would be to work out in that. He then claimed that Angle had trained in that very same suit for the 1996 Olympics. Later, Kurt Angle walked in on Christian exercising backstage and delivered a brilliant 'Hey, my chicken suit'. It was a minor moment but I cannot help but laugh just thinking about it. There were lots of funny moments between Edge, Christian, Angle and Foley, but this little subplot was my favourite.
