Like some extended, demented melding of The Royal Rumble and Groundhog Day (which generally are only days apart), the 2010 edition of the Rumble began this curious pattern with Dolph Ziggler hitting the ring first. The following year, then Nexus-leader CM Punk kicked off the only-ever 40-man Rumble match. In 2012, The Miz entered first, 'earning' the number after losing a match on Raw to former ally R-Truth.
