15 Former NFL Players In Vince McMahon's XFL
4. Antonio Callaway
Just four months before the opening of the XFL season, wide receiver Antonio Callaway was playing for the Cleveland Browns in the NFL. His first season in 2018 saw Callaway play in all 16 of the Browns' games, starting 11 and catching five touchdown passes.
The fourth round pick had a bright future in the NFL, particularly with the strong young core of the Browns led by Baker Mayfield, but it was off the field issues that led to his downfall. After being suspended for the first four games of the 2019 season thanks to a violation of the league's doping policy, Callaway was waived for missing practices and meetings.
The wide receiver wasn't actually part of the XFL draft, instead signing for the Tampa Bay Vipers in January, three months later. Callaway will surely be one of the most dangerous weapons in the entire XFL when healthy, though he seems set to start the season on the sidelines thanks to a leg injury.
