15 Former NFL Players In Vince McMahon's XFL
3. Eli Rogers
After going undrafted in the 2015 NFL draft, Eli Rogers was picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite missing his entire rookie season through injury, Rogers returned to the team the following year, working his way from fifth wide receiver on the depth chart, to starting eight games and racking up almost 600 receiving yards.
The next year, after featuring much less for the team, Rogers suffered a torn ACL in the playoffs and was unable to find his way back to the NFL field. Despite signing a two year contract extension with Pittsburgh in 2019, he was cut just five months later.
After being selected in the supplemental XFL draft by the DC Defenders, Rogers is easily the most experienced WR on the team, and as long as he can stay healthy, should make himself a strong asset for quarterback Cardale Jones.
