15 Great Wrestlers Who Had Very Brief WWE Careers
6. Colt Cabana (Scotty Goldman)
In the wrestling world, Colt Cabana is known for several things: is very funny; hosts a brilliant podcast called The Art of Wrestling; is the best friend of CM Punk and is a very good wrestler.
After making his name in Ring of Honor, as a part of the Second City Saints with Punk, Cabana was signed by WWE in 2007. He was immediately sent to OVW and eventually appeared on WWE television in August 2008, under the name Scotty Goldman.
Cabana, whose gimmick was that he was Jewish (really WWE? is that the best you could do?) barely featured on WWE television and whenever he did, he mostly lost. He did have his own web series on WWE.com called 'What's Crackin?,' later renamed as 'Good as Goldman,' but that was as good as it got.
He was released in 2009 and returned to the independent circuit, where he continues to do great work. If he was in WWE today, Cabana might have had a better time but you can't help but think that this was a missed opportunity to make a really appealing star.
