15 Greatest Cults In Wrestling History

11. The Gathering

Leader: Raven

Members: Julio Dinero, Alexis Laree, CM Punk, Cassidy Riley

Apparently, WWE's purchases of ECW and WCW's intellectual property resulted in Raven needing a new name for his cult when he made his way to TNA in 2002. The Gathering was different than Raven's other cults in that the members were portrayed as fanboys all too happy to serve under Raven as opposed to lost souls who had come under his Svengali-like influence.

The Gathering ultimately did a whole lot of nothing, with Dinero and Punk eventually turning on Raven to side with James Mitchell. They kept The Gathering as their name, and CM Punk kept the idea of forming a cult in the back of his mind.
