Sting and Lex Luger were two of WCW's biggest stars of the 1990's and regularly teamed up with each other. They were also best friends backstage. The team had a very on-again-off-again relationship, whenever they weren't tagging together they would be feuding with each other. Luger might have been limited but he usually had good matches with the talented and fiery Sting. Luger and Sting's best run as a team would come after Luger jumped from WWF to WCW in 1995. Following his return to the company, Luger often clashed heads with Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan who were distrustful of his motives with Sting having to keep the peace. Luger did turn heel on Hogan but continued to team with Sting, creating the odd dynamic of a heel and a face teaming up. They won the Tag Team Championship and feuded with the likes of The Steiners, Harlem Heat and The Outsiders. The formula for the team was simple: Sting takes a beating and Luger tags in and dominates with power moves. They looked imposing, too, with both men being extremely well-built and looking like superstars. They definitely gave the tag team division a credibility boost. The team couldn't last forever and Luger turned on Sting, whom he mistakenly believed had joined the nWo. They feuded but later reformed their team in 98 and 99 but it wasn't the same: neither man could be bothered and WCW was clearly on the way down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGHTSMwLM24
