15 Greatest WCW Tag Teams Of All Time

6. The Hollywood Blondes

The Hollywood Blondes were never supposed to get over. Brian Pillman and Steve Austin were thrown together in 1992 in essence to get other teams over but, through sheer talent and force of personality, became one of the most popular acts in the company. Austin was under the impression that he was about to get a run as United States Champion under the management of Harley Race when Pillman came up to him backstage and informed him that actually they were actually scheduled to become a team. Austin was miffed but decided to give it a go anyway, because they liked Pillman as a person and figured he had nothing to lose. The Blondes had fantastic matches against the team of Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas and Ric Flair and Arn Anderson. They really did have the perfect blend of new school athleticism and old school pyschology. Just when they were starting to really get over and get into a groove, they were split up, which Austin claims were for political reason (they were getting over when they weren't supposed to). After the breakup the Blondes had a short feud which was not heavily pushed on WCW television and later teamed up in the WWF (as Stone Cold and 'The Loose Cannon', not the Blondes). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iY4dQ45Fjg
