15 Instances Of The WWE Royal Rumble "14" Curse

5. Jeff Hardy

Rumble He Drew '14': 2007 How Was He Cursed?: If you look at his in-ring career from January 2007 and on, you might not think that Jeff Hardy belongs on this list. After all, 2007 is when he reached main event status, and he would go on to win six World Titles between WWE and TNA since that time. However, he's on the list because you have to dig a little deeper to find his curse happenings, but they are there. In the summer of 2007, he missed about a month with injuries. In March of 2008, he was suspended for his second Wellness Policy violation, giving him 60 days off, which cost him a spot at WrestleMania 24, where he was scheduled to perform in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. A couple days after his Wellness Policy violation, his home in North Carolina burned to the ground, killing his dog. In September 2008, he was barred from boarding a Southwest Airlines flight because airport employees deemed him to be too intoxicated. The following month, he would leave WWE after having to deal with numerous injury issues, including herniated discs in his back and Restless Legs Syndrome. Two weeks after leaving the company, he was arrested on charges of drug trafficking after a search of his home found 262 Vicodin pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, 180 Soma pills, cocaine residue and drug paraphernalia (he would plead guilty and receive a $100,000 fine to go with two-and-a-half years of probation and ten days of jail time). At TNA's Victory Road 2011 pay-per-view, Hardy participated in one of the most embarrassing moments in wrestling history when he showed up to wrestle in his main event match clearly inebriated in some fashion, forcing the company to cut the match short in a shoot. Are you seeing why he's on the list now? By many accounts, he seems to be working hard to turn his life around and put his personal demons behind him, which is great, but he certainly had more than his fair share of problems since January 2007.
