Rumble He Drew '14': 2002 How Was He Cursed?: Diamond Dallas Page, of course, had himself quite the career. After getting into the ring at a much later start than most (he was 35 years old when he began training at the WCW Power Plant), he would go on to win the WCW World Title on three different occasions, to go with two United States Title reigns, one Television Title reign and four Tag Team Title reigns, all while becoming one of the top babyfaces in all of wrestling. His WWF tenure got off to a bad start when his initial gimmick was a heel that was creepily stalking The Undertaker's wife. It wasn't how anyone wanted to see him, but even then, he rebounded to win the WWF Tag Team Titles with Kanyon, as well as the European Title (won a week after his appearance in the 2002 Rumble). Things appeared to be on the rise for DDP... and then he was gone from the company only a couple months after the Rumble after suffering what was thought to be a career-ending neck injury during a match with Hardcore Holly. He would eventually return to the ring in TNA two years later, but he wasn't quite the same, and at the age of 48, nobody expected him to be. We'll never know if there were any bigger plans for DDP in 2002 and beyond, but his career was definitely on the upswing when his injury struck him down a mere three months after entering the Royal Rumble in the #14 spot.
