Rumble He Drew '14': 2004 How Was He Cursed?: Rikishi had been through a lot in his career, with plenty of ups and downs, but by 2004, he was at the peak of his career. He had been dabbling in the main event off-and-on, and even though he never won the WWE Title, he was on the scene, and he was getting some of the best crowd reactions of anyone in the company. He had begun sliding back down the proverbial totem pole by 2004, but he was still a solid name on the roster. Two weeks after the Rumble, he teamed with Scotty 2 Hotty to win the WWE Tag Team Titles. They held the belts until April 20th of that year. Three months later, he was released from his contract, the result of not losing the weight that management had repeatedly asked him to lose. Another #14 entrant, another swift downfall. It would be eight years until Rikishi would wrestle for WWE again, but his next matches were of the novelty "legends" variety. He still remained over with live crowds, but it was sad to think that he basically threw his career away by refusing to do what was asked of him.
