15 Longest Times Spent In A Royal Rumble Match

7. Mr. McMahon - 56:38 (Royal Rumble 1999)

The 1999 Royal Rumble is one of the most polarising in WWE history. Some people think the booking was a nice twist on the old formula but that the math itself was filled with too much deadwood while others believe that the ending was an unnecessary swerve. The 1999 Rumble was all storyline, with Steve Austin entering at number one after The Corporation had rigged the order and Vince entering number two, as revenge by Commissioner Shawn Michaels who was attacked by McMahon's henchmen in the weeks leading up to the show. McMahon and Austin exited the ring quickly and brawled around the arena until Austin was attacked by the corporation backstage. They wouldn't re-emerge until number twenty two, Austin put in a decent shift when he came back, eliminating several wrestlers including Triple H and Owen Hart while McMahon hid for his life. Vince won the match after The Rock made an appearance and distracted Stone Cold.
