15 MORE Wrestlers WWE Debuted In The Worst Way Possible
3. Matt Morgan
To say that Vince McMahon lacks compassion is to say that the desert lacks moisture. Even still, the idea that a pro wrestler's entire gimmick can be that he's a guy with a speech impediment is as insulting to the performer and WWE's audience as it is callous and ridiculous. Of all of the things that can define a performer, this is what Matt Morgan was saddled with and told to make work.
Morgan had enjoyed a few previous stints on the main roster, first under a mask as Kane's brother Abel (of course), and then as part Team Lesnar, a hastily put-together stable initiated to take on Team Angle at Survivor Series 2003. He also competed in the 2004 Royal Rumble match, but things were about to sink to a new low.
After being sent back to OVW for further training, Morgan would re-debut on SmackDown in April, 2005 with an extreme stutter as he spoke. The whole thing stunk, and this obscenely crass gimmick lasted less than 3 months before he was let go by the company for good on July 5th, 2005.
