15 Most Important WWE Raw Episodes In History

6. Raw Nitro Simulcast - March 26th, 2001

The end of an era occurred on the March 26th, 2001 Raw, when Vince McMahon officially won the Monday Night War. It was an important night in history, with Raw and Nitro doing a simulcast to announce WWE's victory. The industry would never be the same again, and Vince McMahon's gloating promo to the Raw and Nitro audiences was part work / part shoot. Further importance of the episode was that it also went down in history as one of the markers for the end of the Attitude Era. The lame "Shane McMahon owns WCW" storyline kicked off, which would ultimately kill all value of the WCW brand. The reality was, Raw never really had any wrestling competition after that night. The industry has been stagnant ever since.
