15 Most Important WWE Raw Episodes In History

7. John Cena Moves To Raw - June 6th, 2005

The June 6th 2005 episode of Raw was a draft edition, and in the opening segment, the very first pick for Raw was John Cena. It was a monumentally important piece of booking, one that would change Monday nights forever. Over a decade later, Cena is still the franchise face of the brand. He was WWE Champion and the face of Smackdown at the time of the move. That was the other reason this move was so important, it was restoring the WWE Championship to its rightful place on Raw. It was the signal of a new era in WWE. It also marked the end of Smackdown as a power. The blue brand had been in decline for a couple of years, and losing Cena to Raw was a sign of priorities.
