One superstar alliance over on NXT's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is the pairing of NXT Champion Finn Balor and Samoa Joe. They faced off against the Lucha Dragons in this opening round match and had a very dynamic finish to secure the win.

Joe tagged out, but connected with his Muscle Buster before exiting the ring. Balor followed it up with his Coup de Grace, advancing these two to the next round.

There's the obvious booking that these two are paired together only to ultimately implode, setting up a singles rivalry. That is definitely something to look forward to.
