11. The Rock Suffered A Serious Injury At WrestleMania 29
WWE.comThat's right folks! It's the "Once In A Lifetime" match between John Cena and The Rock - which actually happened two years in succession. Still, Cena couldn't be seen to have lost out against The Rock without a rematch, right? The Rock actually drew a bit of criticism for that second encounter, with the match itself having the feeling that it was nothing new, and both men were simply going through the motions. But hang on a moment, let's give The Rock a touch of credit in this instance. During that 24-minute bout (admittedly, not the longest WrestleMania main event in the world, but still), The Rock picked up a pretty nasty injury which could have put most men out of the contest. He actually tore one of his abdomen and adductor muscles clean off the bone. Sound pretty inconspicuous? Anyone with a half-decent knowledge of biology would tell you that it's anything but. In fact, Mick Foley once described it in an interview as one of the nastiest injuries a wrestler could pick up. So for once, that match at WrestleMania 29 deserves a touch more credit than it deserves - at least when it comes to The Rock.
