15 Most Surprising WWE Veterans

3. Dolph Ziggler - 12 Years

Many fans forget about Dolph Ziggler's stint in The Spirit Squad as Nicky, and his gig before that as Kerwin White's caddy. If not for the sudden death of Eddie Guerrero, which finished the Kerwin White (Chavo Guerrero) gimmick, Ziggler would have been a consistent main roster wrestler from 2005 onwards. Instead, with Kerwin White done, he went back to developmental for a while. The same happened after his year with The Spirit Squad was finished, he went back to OVW. Nevertheless, he'd had an astounding 2006, with several main event matches, and being one of the stand out wrestlers of that faction. His next main career progression came as Dolph Ziggler in 2008, quickly establishing himself as a valuable mid card player. His matches were consistently very good, and his success culminated in a major World Title win in 2013. In the years since, his career has wavered, and now he's just a regular mid-card guy, reliable for a great match here and there. Despite being one of the biggest veterans of the company now, it doesn't really feel that way, with his relationship with WWE always feeling a little uneasy on both sides. Nevertheless, having signed his deal in 2004, he has now been with the company for twelve years.
