15 Most Surprising WWE Veterans

2. The Miz - 12 Years

A twelve year WWE veteran, and a WrestleMania show closing WWE Champion over John Cena... how the hell did The Miz do it? In fairness, he has matured into a decent ring worker, and is very good on the mic. As a character, he's over. He's also very useful for the company in PR roles, and is one of the hardest workers in terms of media. Still, to think he has been in the job for over a decade when he only had minimal talent starting out, is very surprising. When he first started out on the 2004 Tough Enough, nobody thought he'd last in WWE, and everyone figured Daniel Puder would go far. It was the exact opposite. Credit to Miz: he's worked hard and those who begrudge him are likely caught up being marks for his heel work.
