Christian & Randy Orton's feud over the World Heavyweight Championship was unexpectedly excellent, with both men coming together to put on a great series of ever more intense, complicated and stipulation-laden matches during the summer of 2011. After Orton beat Christian cleanly for his championship, Christian continued to get 'one more match' against him, including two PPV title matches at Over The Limit & Capitol Punishment. Originally Christian played the role of sporting good guy, but eventually turned into a bitter heel as his attempts to regain the strap failed. As their rivalry intensified, a stipulation was sewn into their match at Money in the Bank that if Orton got himself disqualified, he'd not only lose the match, but the championship as well. Orton being the hot-headed guy that he is, Christian easily managed to rile him by spitting in his face. Orton lost his cool and become reckless for just long enough so that he did indeed get disqualified. Christian got a kick in the crotch, and with it, another reign as World Heavyweight Champion.
