9. The Pay-Per-View That Ends With A Wedding (1991)

SummerSlam 1991 is distinguished as the only WWE pay-per-view to end with a wedding. That's right, after the so-called Match Made in Hell (in which Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior fought Sgt. Slaughter, Col. Mustafa and General Adnan), the show closed out with the Macho Man marrying Miss Elizabeth in the middle of the ring.

It was, of course, all staged for the fans, because the two had actually been married for almost 7 years by the time of this PPV, and ironically separated roughly a year after this "wedding".

Yes, it's easily the most entertaining of the WWE's many weddings (who can resist Macho Man saying "Ohhhh yeaaaaaah!" rather than "I do"?), though still a thoroughly peculiar way to close out a show over, you know, an actual wrestling match.

It wouldn't fly these days, but in 1991, it basically worked, strange though it surely was.
