15 New Directions For WWE After WrestleMania 38

8. Renewed Focus On Secondary Belts?

Ricochet WWE Intercontinental Title

Granted, this is more wishful thinking than anything else.

Ricochet and Finn Bálor have been totally overlooked as Intercontinental and United States Champs respectively. Neither bagged a place on either card over the 'Mania weekend, and their title reigns have been...rubbish thus far. They're far too talented to be struggling like this.

Post-'Mania, WWE might be willing to invest some more screen time into both belts on Raw and SmackDown. Rico is still waiting for his first proper feud as champion (no, that mini-issue with Los Lotharios doesn't count), and he's fully deserving of a chance to show what he can do with a title traditionally associated with great workers.

The same goes for Bálor. A friend of this writer's didn't even know he's the current US Champion. That's how p*ss poor Finn's current presentation is, and that needs to change. Actually seeing these titles defended on upcoming pay-per-views during the period between WrestleMania-SummerSlam would be nice.
