15 Reasons Why Lucha Underground Is Better Than WWE

8. Ring Announcer: Melissa Santos

In only one season of work, Melissa may be one of the best ring announcers out there. She has a unique style of announcing that changes depending on who is coming out. If it's a heel, her voice lowers and is slower. If it's a face, she's happy, almost joyous to announce the wrestler's name.

The camera always zooms in on her so we can catch any small details like a wink, or when she needed to bail out due to a wrestler (Texano) rushing the ring. She's even been given some personality by getting small parts in feuds.

As mentioned before, Pentagon Jr. attacked her out of nowhere and tried to break the innocent ring announcer's arm. Since then she is always fearful of announcing his name, and backs away when he enters the ring. Ring announcers are typically forgotten roles, but not on this show.

Josh's work has been seen on Cageside Seats, Yahoo, and The Richest. If it's not pro wrestling, he's definitely thinking about cured meats and/or sushi, but never all three at the same time...that can get weird. Twitter: @HeelDoors
