15 Secret WWE Pasts Of Top AEW Stars
1. MJF
The second entry for Maxwell Jacob Friedman, but this one is a little lesser known than his tussle with Samoa Joe at NXT TakeOver Brooklyn II. The idea of MJF having to audition for anything outside of A-list movie parts feels completely absurd today, which is why we have to go all the way back to 2015 for MJF's very first dalliance with WWE.
WWE's YouTube has footage of MJF auditioning for Tough Enough. His signature confidence is present and correct, although his name at this point is Maxwell Jacob Feinstein. The video features MJF giving Triple H some one-on-one advice as to why MJF is everything WWE should be looking for, followed by his "better than you and you know it" catchphrase.
Speculation and 'What If...' style fantasy will never stop surrounding MJF and WWE. Mainly because he's savvy enough to never outright rule it out (while never seeming anything less than happy where he is), but also because he's considered one of the best wrestlers in the world today. It couldn't be further away from this Tough Enough audition.
