15 Things You Forgot About Triple H's Rise To Power In WWE
7. He Was Scouting Talent Way Before You Thought
Triple H is currently the executive vice president of talent in WWE. He recently made some great signings, picking up international sensations in KENTA and Fergal Devitt. He's no stranger to a great acquisition though. Proof that he's qualified to oversee his current position, he recruited one of the Attitude Era's biggest stars in 1996. The wrestler in question was Chyna, the bodybuilding female who went on to become a mainstream celebrity from her role on WWF's Raw. Hunter first discovered Chyna when working out at a gym. He was amazed at her physique and saw the potential for her to come into wrestling with a unique look and gimmick. He went to Vince McMahon and pushed the case to hire her, selling the Chairman on the appeal she would hold. Nobody had ever seen a woman wrestling the guys before, this would be revolutionary! McMahon didn't seem keen at first, but eventually relented to Hunter's pleas. The rest is history, Chyna actually ended up becoming a bigger star than Triple H himself for a while! Another thing to note, she could also out-lift him in the gym. She really was the Ninth Wonder Of The World!
