15 Things You Might Have Missed From Last Night’s WWE SmackDown

Fish out that Kleenex (to dry your eyes due to tears of joy, obviously), because Daniel Bryan and Samoa Joe will lock horns in WWE for the first time ever on next week's SmackDown. That bumper showdown was the show's lasting image this week, and it followed on from the sweet sight of seeing Bryan wrestle Jeff Hardy.
These are the kind of opponents WWE need to line up for Bryan, not developing heels like Big Cass.
Against Hardy, Bryan showed a glimpse of fire that was missing against Cass. At the same time though, he didn't get too caught up the moment and forget to protect himself. If you were watching carefully, you may have noticed Daniel making sure to bump safely rather than recklessly.
Other things you might have missed include The New Day totally blanking one of their biggest fans, a formatting error that left Naomi looking like she couldn't give a toss about her hubby, and AJ Styles coming to Shinsuke Nakamura's rescue when his joke fell flat.
Speaking of Nakamura, the stipulation he picked for MITB is a strange one. It doesn't exactly stack the odds in his favour...
