15. Randy Orton Calls A Fan A Latino Miss Piggy
Proving that fans will ignore context if it means getting the opportunity to tweet outrage at a star's behaviour on social media, Randy Orton whipped up a storm in 2014 by teasing someone who had apparently harassed his girlfriend. Orton tweeted a pic that the accused troll had taken of herself with him to his girlfriend with the following insult:
"Look @kimklro I met the Latino Ms. Piggy today at the gym. I wish you were there to have a good laugh with me! #MsPig"
In response, she called him a douche-bag, and when fans got wind of the insult, Orton was forced to delete it (though he did Retweet responses seemingly endorsing his behaviour). The Excuse/Apology There was some serious beef between the victim of the Miss Piggy jibe and Orton's girlfriend, which lead Orton to block the fan, but that was never going to fly with fans calling for him to be reprimanded. Nevertheless, he did end up tweeting an apology in the aftermath:
"I apologize if any of my previous tweets offended anyone. The answer to bullying isn't more bullying..."
