15 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (Oct 23)

Downs...

1. Less Is More

Britt Baker needed to run through somebody after failing to capture Riho's AEW Women's World Championship last week. For an optimal recovery, she should have been booked against a goober she could batter in two minutes or less, thus boosting her aura ahead of her next collision with Bea Priestley, which will surely come once the Stardom star returns from Japan.

Instead of doing this, AEW booked Baker opposite the debuting Jamie Hayter, who she couldn't just run through. This holds her up somewhat. The bout had its merits but Britt took too much offence for it to be considered a recovery, so bringing a local enhancement talent in for the job may have been the sharper move. She got destroyed for long, long portions of this, stifling any momentum gained.
