Last night's Samoan Summit didn't go as planned. Samoa Joe and The O.C. attacked Roman Reigns and The Usos backstage - not to the point of immobilisation, but enough to put a big dent in their plans, leading to Joe hitting the ring alone.

"Failed peace talks" saw the big man try to claim that the Summit was cancelled. Reigns, of course, had other ideas, and their ringside brawl was eventually joined by Drew McIntyre, Cedric Alexander, The O.C., and The Usos, creating a chaotic mess all across the scene. The highlight moment? Alexander leaping from the screen onto the gathered throng, with the brawl continuing thereafter, concluding with 'The Big Dog' nailing Joe with a Spear to finally clear the ring.

This was an awesome segment. While slightly outdone by the show's other big-time brawl, it felt suitably frantic and was infinitely more interesting than the original Samoan Summit sounded. Cedric got a highlight-reel moment, all the participants made sense, and it helps further a bunch of potential SummerSlam programmes, making this an effective way to close a successful Raw.
