15 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 29)

2. Sami Slips Up

Gauntlet matches need variety. Booking four falls of essentially the same thing (in this case, traditionally good wrestling) is unideal because, for the most part, it risks burning the audience out. This means that WWE must incorporate things like shorter, snappier falls to keep the crowd on their toes, though they made an unideal choice in having Sami Zayn lose to Rey Mysterio in less than 30 seconds.

The gauntlet's second fall began with Rey dodging the Helluva Kick before quickly getting Zayn down for the three. A fuming Sami had to be restrained after, though he was left with egg on his face once again.

Zayn eating sh*t would be fine if it didn't happen every other week. He's an obnoxious, stooging heel, so he should be foiled on occasion. The problem is that it happens too often and we're now at a point where Sami may be permanently typecasted as a loser, so deep are his problems.
